Members
of the Central High School Key Club and the
Kiwanis Club of Phenix City volunteered as guest readers at Phenix City
Head Start in November.
Through the RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) program,
volunteers were on hand to read to the preschool students and then each
child was given their own personal book to take home.
RIF is the oldest children's literacy organization
in the United States. It is a nationwide, nonprofit group which brings children
and books together to help young people acquire the habit of reading.
The Key Club hopes to participate in more RIF
reading days soon!! |
