Major Cast Biographies

Tom Sawyer is played by a Senior and has been seen on stage in School House Rock, Oklahoma and as Earthquake McGoon in Li'l Abner. He is active in the CHS Marching Band, Symphonic Band, NHS and at Summerville Baptist Church. He plans to attend college and to remain active in theatre.
Huck Finn is played by a Sophomore who was seen in Li'l Abner last year and in Guys and Dolls at SGS. He is in the CHS Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Scholars' Bowl, Environthon, Envirobowl, Future Problem Solvers, Community Problem Solvers and is the Treasurer of the Key Club. At Lakewood Baptist Church he is in the Youth Choir and Orchestra. He plans to enter the Ministry in the future.
Aunt Polly is played by a Senior who is the Drum Major for the CHS Red Devil Regiment. She is a member of NHS and has performed in many church plays. She was in the Select Choir in the May 2004 Spring Concert. She is a member of D-Vine, the Red Cross and the youth choir at church. She plans to attend college but is undecided about where she wants to attend. She plans to remain active in theatre.
Judge Thatcher is played by a Junior who has been seen as Pappy in Li'l Abner and as Harvey Johnson in Bye, Bye Birdie. He is in the CHS Marching Band, Symphonic Band and in both the Youth and Adult Choirs at his church. He plays French Horn and made All-State in his Sophomore year. He plans to become a Music Educator.
Becky Thatcher is played by a Sophomore who was seen in Li'l Abner last year. She has attended the Springer Opera House Theatre Academy. She plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Widow Douglas is played by a Junior who is active in Beta Club, Key Club, the Red Cross, FCA, Keyhole, Drama Club, Soccer and in the youth group at Central Baptist Church. She has been seen in Ten Little Indians and Hot Property and is also active in church plays. She enjoys scrapbooking and water skiing. She plans to attend Auburn University and remain active in theatre.
Injun Joe is played by a Senior who enjoys working on his truck. He plans to attend technical school after graduation. This is his first theatrical experience.
Muff Potter is played by a Sophomore who was seen on the SGS stage in Guys and Dolls. He is active in the CHS Marching Band and Soccer. He plans to attend college.
Doc Robinson is played by a Senior who is a member of NHS, Beta Club and Scholars' Bowl. He plans to attend college at NYU and to remain active in theatre. This is his first venture into musical theatre.
Sid Sawyer is played by a Sophomore who was seen in Li'l Abner and in Guys and Dolls at SGS. He is active in theatre in church, plays soccer and paintball and is in the CHS Marching Band. He plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Joe Harper is played by a Junior who is a member of Boy Scouts. He plays guitar and likes loud music. He plans to attend college in the future.
Ben Rogers is played by a Freshman who has attended the Springer Opera House Theatre Academy. He has been seen on the SOH stage in Amazing Grace, Little Baby Snoogle Fleejer, on the SGS stage in Guys and Dolls, The Boarding House, and Give My Regards to Broadway. He is active in soccer, the SOH Academy and is a member of First UMC Youth. He plans to attend college and major in theatre.
Lyle Bellamy is played by a Junior who has been seen in Oklahoma!, Li'l Abner, and Bye, Bye Birdie. He has been in The Little Mermaid and Alice in Wonderland at T.H.E. Theatre in Columbus. He plans to attend college.
Naomi Temple is played by a Senior who is a member of FTA. She plans to become a Biology teacher. She has been seen in School House Rock, Oklahoma!, Li'l Abner, and the Black History Program. She enjoys drawing.
Mayor Bellamy is played by a Sophomore who is involved in soccer, cross country, Drama Club, Beta Club, Future Problem Solvers, Scholars' Bowl, CMPS, The Republican Club and D-Vine. He was seen in Hot Property and plans to attend Yale and remain active in theatre.
Mr. Wain is played by a Freshman who enjoys drawing. He plans to attend law school and become a lawyer. This is his first theatrical experience.
Sheriff is played by a Sophomore who was seen as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls at SGS. He enjoys acting but plans to become active in track and field. He plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Rev. Sprague is played by a Junior who has been seen in Oklahoma! and as Mayor Dawgmeat in Li'l Abner. He is member of the CHS Marching Band and enjoys playing music. He plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Lucy Harper is played by a Junior who has been seen in Oklahoma!, Li'l Abner and Bye, Bye Birdie. She plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Hartley Wood is played by a Freshman who was seen in Guys and Dolls at SGS. He is involved in Scholars' Bowl, the Red Cross, Art Club, Key Club, D-Vine, Tennis Team, Corta Jr. Tennis Team, and Refereeing at CYSA. He plans to remain active in theatre.
Miz Dobbins is played by a Sophomore who has been seen in Li'l Abner and Bye, Bye Birdie. She enjoys singing and plans to attend college and major in vocal and dramatic arts.
Sabina Temple is played by a Junior who plans to attend college and remain active in theatre.
Sereny Harper is played by a Senior new to CHS and musical theatre. She was in the SSHS chorus for 2 years and enjoys dance competitions. She plans to attend college and obtain a degree in physical therapy.
Amy Lawrence is played by a Junior who plays softball and is active at New Beginning Fellowship Church. She plans to attend college and major in marine biology. She plans to remain active in theatre.
  The Drunk is played by a Junior who has been seen in the play Image as a part of the Alabama South District Impact Team. He is active in Boy Scouts of America and NYI. His favorite pastime is extreme sports, especially skateboarding.
