Ghosts I Have Been by Richard Peck |
| Blossom Culp is an
outsider in her town, the daughter of an eccentric fortune
teller who claims that Blossom did not inherit the "Sight". Such
is not the case, as Blossom discovers while pretending to read
fortunes. She ends up thwarting school-age vandals, settling a suicide's ghost and unmasking a charlatan preying upon the gullible. However, her greatest adventure occurs when she sinks with the Titanic, which at that time was already resting on the ocean floor, and brings to light a shocking crime. This is the brightest in a series of books known for their humor almost more than their supernatural suspense. Reviewed by Janeway
