Gunnery Sergeant Elder has been the Naval Science Instructor at Central High School since August of 2001.  He enlisted into the Marine Corps on August 8, 1980.  He served for 20 years in the Administrative Field and he completed his active service on 31 Aug 2001.  He is a native of Columbus, GA.  He is married and has two sons.
