| The Lakewood Media Center is open for "independent
checkout" Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 2:45. Students in grades
K-1 visit the library once
a week for story time, library skill lessons, and book
checkout. Second grade students have bi-weekly class visits to the
library.
Students in grades 3-5 are on a flexible library
schedule. This means that Mrs. Sanders collaborates with their
teachers to integrate information literacy skills in the classroom and
media center. Teachers of those grade levels may also bring their
classes for a weekly 15-minute checkout period.
