August Fun!

These pictures are from our first month together.
I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as we enjoyed
our times together.

We watch "Beary Special News" every morning. Lakewood Explorer reporters make the morning announcements interesting.
Someone celebrated a birthday this month!
We enjoyed reading with a buddy. We're learning to be "teachers" and not "tellers". We help each other figure out unknown words.
It looks like Cookie finds this story to be relaxing!
We graphed the color of our eyes.
Here's our Flower Name Glyph. We put one petal for each letter in our name. We added one leaf for each vowel in our name. Finally we added one stem part for each syllable in our name. Aren't our flowers beautiful?

We graph our lunch choice everyday.

We learned about walking in the halls on marshmallow toes:

"Walking through the hallways,
Everyone quietly goes...
Being respectful all the way,
Walking on our "marshmallow toes".

Here we're checking to see what marshmallows sound like!

This friend shared some great items for our "Me in a Bag" getting to know you activity. We'll be finishing our book soon...look for it!

We love Robert Munsch...oh YES, we do!
Our classroom's favorite book is "Purple, Green, and Yellow".

It looks like this friend likes to write!
We stop all of our hard work and enjoy a snack together...whew!

We examined our fingerprints to see how we're different.

We learned not to put a wrinkle in someone's heart!
Rub-a-dub-dub...we'll read in the tub!
We're learning about living and non-living things. We went outside to examine a tree closely.
We came back inside to begin making our own trees!
We worked really hard, too!
Now we're adding bark to protect our trees!
