Dear Parents,
I want to maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
for all children. I will thoroughly discuss classroom
procedures and rules with them so there will be no question as to my
expectations. You may want to review the discipline plan and
classroom procedures with your child to reinforce
expectations.
I appreciate the parental support that you provide your child.
With your support, together we will educate your child and help him/her to
become a responsible, caring, and unique individual. Thank you for
all that you do for your child.
Mrs. Garrett
Procedures:
 | Entering the room: Come into the room quietly and begin working
quietly. |
 | Show you are ready: Voices off, eyes on teacher, in seat. |
 | Be a prepared student: have all materials for class, have a
sharpened pencil, have plenty of paper, complete all assignments |
 | Behavior expectations: Start work on time, stay on task, make
transitions quickly, adjust voice level to the activity, do not disturb
others, avoid excessive talking or talking too loudly. If you mess
it up, clean it up. If you borrow something, return it. Put
things back in the right place. |
 | When a visitor comes to the room: Adjust voice volume and work or
read quietly. |
 | Follow all rules and moral standards of the school. |
 | Treat others as you want to be treated: Respect the rights and
property of others. Do not argue, aggravate, hit, or harass other
students. Do not throw things in class. Do not litter in our
classroom, in the halls, or in the restrooms. |
 | Around campus: Do not litter. Walk to the right. Keep
your hands and feet to yourself (and anything else in your
possession.) Walk in straight quiet rows. Yield right of way
to adults. Open doors for adults. |
