| Winning with Technology is
a multi-disciplinary technology project for fifth grade students of
varying academic levels during the 2003-2004 school year. Games,
like Jeopardy, which review social studies, science, and math concepts,
will be downloaded from the Internet for the students to play as a class
using an Eggspert (buzzer system) and an Avery Key (device for connecting
computer to television). Then, using PowerPoint, game templates, and
curriculum objectives, the students will create and save their own game
questions and answers to floppy discs. Finally, using the CD Writer
and labeler, students will compile and copy their approved games onto CDs
and label them for distribution to teachers. Also, Avery Keys and
Eggsperts will be available for library checkout. This project will
provide students with fun and creative opportunities to become more
knowledgeable in the academic areas and more technologically savvy.
This project is funded by the Phenix City Education Foundation, Inc. |
