What I Saw, Heard, and Learned
Wednesday,
Nov. 14, 2001, we went to a symphony in Columbus, Georgia. I saw many different instruments. All of the people were playing the
instruments. I saw a man, who was
leading, which is a conductor. I also
saw a funny story and pictures of clocks.
I
heard many different instruments. I
heard a big thing with a hole in the front that made a loud noise. A circle looking thing that a man clapped
together to make a sound that went on for a long time. I heard a bell that made a beautiful noise.
I
learned a lot about music. I learned
that it takes time to write a piece of music.
There are four main parts in an orchestra. I learned there are a lot of instruments and people in an
orchestra. I learned you can picture
some songs in your mind.
This
was the greatest music I ever heard. It
is also the greatest field trip I’ve ever been to.
