What I Saw, What I Heard, What I Learned
By: Matthew F.
On
November 14, 2001, I went to see the Columbus Symphony Orchestra at the Three
Arts Theatre. All of Phenix City
Intermediate School went.
When
we went, I saw a lot of instruments. I
saw a harp, violins, trumpets, and a lot of other instruments. One of the most beautiful instruments was
the harp. It was big and golden. I cannot describe all the instruments, but I
saw a lot of things.
When
I went, I also heard a lot of instruments.
The flute sounded nice and the harp, too. But the one I liked the most was the chimes. They sounded very peaceful, though I liked
the sounds of all the instruments.
I
also learned a lot, like how a composer creates music. (That was really cool.) That was my favorite part, when they did
that skit with the fake composer. I
learned a lot when we went to the symphony.
All
in all, I liked the symphony. It was a
very neat experience. And, hey! I had a
good time.
