One morning Toni didn’t want to
go to school. Toni went to Berry N. Gal Middle School. Toni loved it there, but
not all the time. Toni’s family was
very wealthy. Toni had often talked to her mom, about home schooling Toni. Ms.
Ann never really gave Toni the time of day.
Toni’s dad, Mr. Richard, who liked to go as
Mr. Rich, was never around. Though Toni’s parents had got a divorce a couple
years back, Mr. Rich always at Ms. Ann’s house. Always trying to convince her
that he would never do the things that he did to her before.
When Toni and her mom got in the car Toni
blurted out over the music, “ I don’t want to go to school, I hate that school,
and it is boring and dumb.” Mom looked at Toni like she never had looked
before, “ your dad is at home would you like to go to his house or go to
school?” Even though Toni hated her dad’s girlfriend, Dre, She was convinced
that she did not want to go to school.
“There is nothing wrong with daddy’s house I
think I choose to go there.” Mom looked at Toni with surprise. “Are you
serious?” said mom. “ I am serious as a judge making a ruling. Mom had never
drove as fast as she did going to dad’s house. I had never seen mom this upset.
When we got to dad’s house we rushed to the door surprised to find Dre walking
out with all her bags. “Goodbye” she said walking along the side road. Dad
walked out frowning and switched into a smile, “ Surprise, surprise, aren’t you
supposed to be at school?” said daddy. “ You can explain can’t you Toni?” mom gave
Toni the look to say yes. “Sure” said Toni, “But I think that it would be best
if you explained, MOM” said Toni grinning like a dog.
Before dad gave mom the chance to say
anything dad interrupted, “ Would one of you two, like to explain to me what’s
going on”.” Yes” said mom, “Toni will because I am already late for work.” Mom
kissed Toni on the cheek, turned and ran down the steps to the car. “Have a
nice day” called mom closing the door to our new Drop Top Eclipse.
Toni turned to dad and said” Move dad your
standing in the door way and it is quiet cold out here.” Dad smiled and moved
closing the door behind him something stopped the door from being shut. Dad
looked through the other side and frowned. “ What are you doing her?
I’ve
got Toni over.” Dre looked in and smiled at Toni. “ You don’t mind if I stay
for a while, do you?” “As a matter of fact I do” Behind the door dad smiled and
gave Toni two thumbs up.
Dre left without saying a word. Dad said”
just for that I will take you to go get any thing that you want name it and
we’ll go.” Toni smiled and said, really, dad said yes. “What it you want?’’ asked dad. “To be home schooled.” Said Toni. Dad looked
at Toni. “Well, this is not the right store for that now is it?”
From then on Toni lived with her dad and home schooled off of a
video. Toni never got to see her friends but liked it more that Berry N. Gal
middle school. Mr. Rich and Ms. Ann got back together and lived happily ever
after.
