On October 29, 2001, Monday, Quest 2 and
sixth grade talent pool went on a fieldtrip.
We went to the Tuskegee National Forest and the Mann Museum and
Outdoors.
On the way up there, I sat with Claire. We played cards and talked. It was a lot of fun! When we got to the Tuskegee National Forest
about 20 people had to use the bathroom.
When we were done, we drove up very bumpy
road. When we went to the forest, we
ambled down to the ponds. Our ranger
was Willie Humphrey. He taught me a lot
of things. It was very beneficial. One thing he taught me was that the outside
of a lake is a bank, and the surface of the bottom of the lake is a channel.
I really liked
the Mann Museum of Outdoors. I learned
about a lot of animals. I liked the
nature trail. I feed an 8 pointer
deer. This was my favorite fieldtrip.
On the way back, I almost went to
sleep. It sure was a busy day. When we got back, I was so tired I could
fall back, but I learned so much. I
loved the trip.
