Wet and Wild

On October 29, 2001, I went on a field trip to the Tuskegee National Forest and the Mann Museum.  On the bus ride, I sat by LaTeesha.  We talked and ate the cereal that she brought for breakfast.  We also made up a couple cheers.  We had so much fun.  It took about 40 minutes to get to the Tuskegee National Forest.

Tuskegee National Forest is the smallest National Forest in the United States.  The forester, Mr. Humphrey, gave us a small tour of the ponds.  I learned a lot about how springs and streams start and end.  Once we got finished, it didn’t take us long to load up and go!  I sat by Brittany and Alia on the way to the museum.

At the Mann Museum, we had fun.  While the 4th and 5th graders ate lunch, the sixth graders went into the museum.  Then while the sixth graders ate lunch, we went into the museum.  We got to see and feed deer.  The museum had an 11-foot polar bear.  They had him standing up like he was ready to strike.

I sat beside Alia on the way back to the school.  We had so much fun.  We talked and listened to music.  It didn’t seem like long before we got back to school.  When we got back, people went crazy.  Then, we went down to the outdoor classroom.  Finally, we went back to our classrooms.  Boy, were our teachers ready to give us some work.
