My Wet and Wild Field Trip

On October 29, 2001, my gifted class went on a field
trip. Our field trip was to the
Tuskegee National Forest and to The Mann Museum. The trip was very
exciting. I really had a hard time
waiting for this trip. This trip was
worth waiting for, though.
I sat by my friend, Jessica, on the bus. We had a lot of fun. We played a few games of Trouble, and played
with Jessica’s telescope. We also
talked a lot. The bus ride was really
fun.
When we finally arrived at the Tuskegee National Forest, we
had to wait a while, because a lot of people had to use the restroom. When everyone was done, we drove down to two
ponds. Mr. Humphrey, the forester,
talked to us about the two ponds. After
we were done, he showed us a neat beaver dam.
After that, we left and headed to the Mann Museum.
When we finally arrived at the museum,
Mr. Mann himself talked to us. After he
was done. the 4th and 5th graders ate lunch.
When we finally finished, we went down to the nature trail and fed and
petted the deer. After we finished
that, we went inside the museum. I saw a lot of exciting animals. They also had
a souvenir shop. I bought my friend
something, and I bought myself a few things.
On the bus ride back, I sat with my friends, D.J. and
Eric. I played D.J.'s Gameboy. After a while, he took it back, because he
got angry with me. The reason he got
mad at me was that he thought lied to him.
A few minutes later, we made up and became friends. So after we made up, we played a game of
Trouble, and then we got to school, and our wet and wild trip was over.
Our trip was really cool.
I had an exciting day. I hope
that everyone had a good time, because I sure did. I would say it was the best field trip ever. I don't think I will ever go on a better
field trip.
