Journey into Nature
On October 29, 2001, I went to the
Tuskegee National Forest and the Mann Museum and Outdoors. At 8:30, we started loading the bus and roll
call. At 8:35, we hit the road! I sat by a boy named Jaron Shaw.
I was playing
Pokemon on my Game Boy Color. Jaron was
playing cards. Jaron turned around and
said, "Gerrod, can I play your Game Boy?" I said, "Why do you want to play my Game Boy?"
Then, something
happened in the back of the bus. I
turned around and see all commotion, but it didn't bother me. I turned back around in my seat and mind my
own business. By the time we got there, the sign said " Tuskegee National
Forest." I said, "
Whaat!? The permission slip said
"Tuskegee National Forest Park".
Anyway, Mrs.
Garrett came on the bus and said, "May I have your attention please? Now, does anybody have an
emergency?" Then a girl got up and
she said she had an emergency so she went to the bathroom, then after she got
up almost the whole bus got up and went to the bathroom.
I got up to go to the bathroom and when I
went to the bathroom a lady said, "Boys on the left and girls on the
right." I thought it was going to
have 3 or 4 bathrooms.
We got back on
the bus and we saw what look like a patrol car in front of the bus. We saw what look like a patrol car.
When we stop, the
car stop. A man named Willie Humphrey
stepped out the car. He taught us about
water.
We journey to the
Mann Museum. The 4th and the 5th
graders get to eat lunch while the 6th graders get to go through the
museum. I had a battle between Matthew
and me. After lunch we went into the
museum.
When I went in,
it was a "touch and feel" exhibit.
Next, a sign said, "The Great Plains". At the end of the museum, there was a gift
shop. I bought a flip cube and two poppers.
When we got to
the school, everybody wanted to see my stuff. Well, I hope you enjoy my essay
about my field trip. Bye now!
