Our Field Trip

I went on a field trip to Tuskegee National
Forest and the Mann Museum and Outdoors.
This all occurred on October 29, 2001.
We waited in the gym until everyone arrived at school. We were ready to go at 8:30 that morning.
On the bus, there was screaming and loud
talking. I sat by my best friend,
Amanda. On the way, she went to sleep.
It was so funny when we woke her up, because she had a red mark on her
face from where she had laid one side of her face on the seat of the bus.
When we to the Tuskegee National Forest, it
was a long ride to get to our destination.
Mr. Willie Humphrey told us about water ecology. It was very interesting. We were advised to take notes about how we
could help our creek along our nature trail.
We then saw a beaver dam; it was so amazing.
After about an hour, we were on our way to
the Mann Museum and Outdoors. When we
got there, Mr. Mann himself talked to us.
As we walked through the museum, we saw many fascinating things. My favorite exhibit was the polar bear. After we had finished, we went and ate
lunch. Lucky for us, there was a nature
trail that we could walk through. We
could feed the deer or just enjoy walking.
When we got back to school, we went to our
Nature Trail and learned about the trees with markers in front of it. Then we went down farther and talked about
how we could help our own creek. I had
so much fun that day!
