My Field Trip
On October 29, 2001, Quest2 went on a
field trip to the Mann Museum and Outdoors.
Before we left for our field trip, someone found a basketball, so other
Quest 2 students decided to play a game of basketball. We finally got on the bus at about
8:30. We got to the Tuskegee National
Forest Park 1st. It was a long, bumpy,
and boring ride.
When we got to
the Tuskegee National Forest Park, we met our guide. His name is Willie Humphrey.
He taught me that a stream could only be called a stream if its channel
water is flowing. I really wanted to
go on a trek/walk. Sadly, I didn't get
to, same with the other Quest students.
You know why? Over half of the
Quest students took 30 minutes to go to the restroom!
The next and last
stop was the Mann Museum and Outdoors.
I’ve been dying to come here ever since the PowerPoint I did on the
species Fox Squirrel was finished. To
my great surprise, a ways through the museum, I saw a Fox Squirrel! Before the tour, though, I had lunch. During lunch, I went over to pet the deer.
One of the deer was extremely lovable.
After lunch, I went on a little trail and I saw a peacock, a turkey, and
a pack of running deer. In the museum,
there were many animals I have never heard of!
So of course I took a long time in the museum. After we finished the
tour, we had another long ride home.
