The most recent news will be placed on top each week.  You don't want to forget these items!


  • Last day of school for students is May 24th.  Have a great summer.  Be safe.
  • Report Cards will be sent home on May 24th.  We will have our Awards Day in the Gym.  6th grade will be at 8:00 in the morning.
  • 6th grade Falcon Fun Day is on May 17th.  Your child will want to bring money to school on Falcon Fun Day.  Students can play carnival-style games or purchase pizza, snacks, and drinks.  All games and food items cost $1 each.
  • Honors Banquet will be at 7:00 P.M. in the Milky Way Cafe on Friday the 18th.
  • Presidents' Day.  No school on February 19th!!!
  • Progress reports go out on February 12th.
  • Happy New Year!  No school for students on January 8th, 2007.
  • Happy Holidays!  Holidays start on December 15th at 2:31 P.M.  See you on January 2nd.  
  • Be sure your child works on his or her history project or science project.  All projects are due on January 31st.
  • Congratulations to our two 6th grade math teams who competed this weekend.  PCIS I won first place in Ciphering and Overall.  PCIS II won second place in Ciphering and Overall.
  • PTA's Reflection Competition is due December 8th.  There are 5 different categories:  Literature, Visual Art, Photography, Music, Drama, and Video Production.  This year's theme is "My Favorite Place."  Good luck!
  • We're going to the Symphony on Monday.  We'll be back before lunch.
  • Friday, November 10th is Veterans' Day.  There will be no school.
  • The deadline for Career Poster and Poetry entries is two weeks earlier than last year.  We must have entries turned in by Thursday, November 2, 2006.  They will be judged on Friday, November 3, 2006.  They must be submitted for District judging by Friday, November 3, 2006.  The theme is: One World, Many Cultures, Many Careers
  • PCIS Falcon Football vs. Smiths (Away) 5:30 P.M. on October 26th.
  • Parenting Day on October 25th.
  • Red Ribbon Week on October 23-27th.
  • PCIS Falcon Football vs. Valley (Away) 5:30 P.M. on October 19th.
  • Report Cards will be issued on October 19th.
  • Picture Make-up day is on October 18th.
  • Cheer Camp on October 17-19th.
  • Picture Day is on Wednesday, 9/20/06.
  • PTA fund raising will end on Tuesday, September 12, 2006.
  • Progress Reports will be sent out on Monday, September 11, 2006.

  • PTA/NASA Night at 7:00 P.M. on August 29, 2006.
  • PTA Fundraiser begins on August 29, 2006.
  • PCIS Falcons vs. Wacoochee (Pre-Season Game) on Saturday, August 26, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at Garrett/Harrison Stadium.
  • Drama Club Auditions are 2:25-4:00 in the Milky Way Cafe Monday, August 21, 2006, and Tuesday, August 22, 2006.  Rehearsals will begin on Thursday, August 24, 2006.
  • Band Meeting 6:00 P.M. in Milky Way Cafe
  • Students should be thinking about a Science Fair Project and/or History Day Project.  They will be due in January.  This is allow me to make sure all requirements are met before the competitions.  Competitions will be held in February.
  • Students will want to bring a clean, white T-shirt to paint on our Channel Earth logo as soon as possible.
  • Open House for parents will be Monday evening, August 8th, 2006, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P. M.  This will be a perfect time to meet the teachers and to bring supplies.  
  • School for students begins on August 8th, 2006.  Students need to report to their classes no later than 7:30 A. M.
  • Registration is on Thursday, July 27, 2006, from 12:00 to 5:30 P.M. and Friday, July 28, 2006, from 7:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
