What does a Counselor do?

Visits my classroom to help me understand myself and others Has large group guidance activities which include: conflict resolution, socialization skills, drug free education, study skills, career exploration Works with small grops on study habits, self-concept, behavior, anger management, making friends, divorce, grief counseling Talks with boys and girls about things that might be bothering them Talks with parents and teachers Explains test scores to parents, teachers and students Provides individual counseling to students

How do I see a Counselor?

My teacher can ask the counselor to see me. My parents can ask the counselor to see me. I can ask my teacher if I can go to the counselor's office.
