Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Welcome to Westview Elementary School! Our faculty
and staff members are looking forward to the coming school year and to
working with all of you.
Westview is a learning community comprised of
dedicated people excited about teaching and learning. We are entering
into this school year prepared to work diligently and faithfully to
accomplish great things. It is vital to each child’s success that his or
her parents also be involved at Westview. Parents are invited to join us
for PTA meetings, to have lunch with their child, to visit in their
child’s classroom, and to attend the many other social and academic
events going on at Westview. In working with us as partners in your
child’s education, you will have the opportunity to help us create an
atmosphere in which students are inspired to achieve high standards in
both behavior and academics; therefore, we thank you in advance for
being involved in this aspect of your child’s life, and we are excited
to have you join us in our journey towards excellence.
Please familiarize yourself with our school’s
policies and procedures by reading through our student handbook and
discussing it with your child. The student handbook will provide you
with vital information concerning the school, its operation, and the
policies we will follow during the school year. The Phenix City Schools
Code of Conduct can be found in the back of Westview’s student handbook.
Handbooks are distributed during registration and may be picked up in
the school office at any time during the school year. If you have any
questions or concerns, please contact us.
