It is time to prepare for another incredible year at Phenix City Schools. We are thrilled to have your family returning for the 2026–2027 school year as we continue our commitment to academic excellence and community pride.

By completing your returning student registration, you help our district finalize classroom assignments and optimize our resources to ensure a successful start for every child.

How to Complete Your Registration

Returning student registration is handled entirely online through PowerSchool Enrollment.

  1. Complete Residency Verification: Use the button below to verify your residency, copy your household code, then return to this tab to begin the PowerSchool registration forms.
  2. Visit the PowerSchool Portal: Select a registration option below.
  3. Use Your Snapcode: You should have received a unique "Snapcode" for each of your students via email on or after Friday, May 15th. This code links your child’s existing information to the new school year.
  4. Update Information: Review your current contact details, emergency contacts, and medical information to ensure everything is up to date.
  5. Upload Documents: Please have a digital copy of your required documents ready to upload.

Please note: Even if your address has not changed, updated proofs are required annually to finalize enrollment.

Can’t Find Your Snapcode?

Each year, returning students are assigned a unique Snapcode, which allows you to quickly verify your child’s information in PowerSchool without re-entering all their data. These codes were sent to the primary email address we have on file for your family.

Before submitting a request:
Please check your Junk or Spam folders for an email from PowerSchool or Phenix City Schools. Often, these automated messages are filtered by email providers.

If you still cannot locate your student's Snapcode, click the button below to submit a request to our registration team.

Please allow our team 24 to 48 hours to respond and filter requests for snapcodes.

Registration Checklist: What You’ll Need

Before you begin the online application in PowerSchool, please have digital copies (scans or clear photos) of the following documents ready to upload:

  • Proof of Age: Student’s official Birth Certificate.
  • Immunization: Current Alabama Blue Form (Immunization Record).
  • Parent Identity: Valid Photo ID of the parent/legal guardian.
  • Residency: Two (2) current proofs of residency (e.g., a mortgage statement/lease agreement AND a current water, gas, or electric power bill).
  • Proof of Guardianship: The Phenix City School System accepts only legal guardianship/custody documents as authorized by a court of law. Notarized affidavits, educational guardianship records, or other types of statements are not acceptable as proof of guardianship/custody.
  • Previous Records: Withdrawal form from the previous school (if applicable).

What Counts as Proof of Residency?

Primary Documents:

  • Current Lease/Rental Receipt with Parent or Guardian's Name
  • Current Mortgage, Mortgage Statement, or Warranty Deed in the parent or guardian's name

Secondary Documents:

  • Recent water, gas, or electricity bill (must be within the last 30 days)
  • Government-issued correspondence (e.g., Social Security or tax documents)

* Gas, water, cable/internet, and/or cell phone bills will not be accepted as proof of residency.

Photo IDs:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID of the parent or guardian
    • Expired Identification documents will not be accepted

Important Deadlines

To ensure we have a bus route ready for your student, please complete your enrollment by July 14, 2026. Registrations submitted after this date may experience a delay in transportation services for the first two weeks of school.
