Transfer Requests
Finding the Right Path for Your Child
At Phenix City Schools, we understand that every student’s journey is unique. While most of our students attend the school for which they are zoned based on their home address, we offer a Transfer Request process to provide families with flexibility. A transfer request allows a student to apply to attend a school outside of their designated attendance zone, provided there is available space, and the request meets district criteria.
Important Information for the 2026–2027 School Year
Transportation: Please note that if a transfer request is approved, parents and guardians are responsible for providing transportation to and from the out-of-zone school.
Deadlines: To ensure your student is set for day one, please submit your request during the open registration window. Remember that all general registration must be completed by July 14, 2026, to guarantee bus transportation for those attending their zoned schools.
All notifications of approval or denial of transfer requests will be delivered via email.
Required Documents
Before completing the Transfer Request Form, please have the following required documents prepared and ready to upload:
- Most Recent Grades or Transcripts
- Attendance Records
- Discipline Records
- IEP/504 (If Applicable)
*Transfer Requests for grades 1-12 will not be processed without the documents listed above.
NOW OPEN: 2026-2027 Transfer Request Forms
If your student has already been approved for a transfer in a previous year, you do not need to reapply.
*Your Registration will not be processed without an approved transfer on file.
