Alabama Robotics Team Qualifies for VEX Robotics World Championship, Local Educator Named Teacher of the Year

At the recent VEX State Robotics Tournament, the team “36867D Pretty in Pink,” comprising Brookelyn Bedford and Taelynn Teel, achieved remarkable success by securing the #4 Skill Ranking statewide and clinching the Amaze Award. This prestigious recognition has qualified them for the VEX Robotics World Championship in Dallas, TX, positioning them among the elite in Alabama and on a global scale.
The Amaze Award is bestowed upon teams that exhibit a consistently high-performing and competitive robot, highlighting achievements in alliance contributions, driving and autonomous coding skills, effective game strategy execution, successful robot programming, and collaborative team development. The team's ability to articulate their design process and demonstrate effective communication and professionalism further underscored their excellence.
In another exciting development, the dedication and impact of Alabama's educators in robotics were celebrated as a local teacher was honored with the Alabama VEX Robotics Teacher of the Year award.
