Phenix City Schools - New Student Transition Program
Phenix City Schools (PCS) is dedicated to assisting all new students transitioning into our school system. This is especially true for military students. To help new students acclimate to PCS, students meet with the school counselor and are connected with a peer to familiarize them with the school and the community. Students are assigned a buddy to assist with a tour of the school, class changes, lunch, and other facets of student day-to-day activities.
Phenix City Schools has partnered with the Military Child Education Coalition Student 2 Student transition program, a student-led organization on the high school level that welcomes all new students to their schools and assisting those transitioning to PCS. Similar programs are available at the middle school and elementary school levels. Any new student to PCS is welcome and encouraged to join. New students and parents of new students may contact their school counselor for more information.
