“Education is a shared commitment between dedicated teachers, motivated students, and enthusiastic parents with high expectations”

Welcome to Central Freshman Academy, where learning is fun! I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and parents who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities. Our faculty and staff are highly committed to providing the most rewarding education possible and making the process of learning an enjoyable experience. Your child's education is our top priority!  We look forward to working together with you to make your child’s educational experience a positive one.

Phenix City School District Curriculum guides the high-quality instruction that takes place every day in the classrooms at Central Freshman Academy.  Our curriculum is aligned to both the Alabama State Standards and the Common Core Standards, which promote 21st-century learning skills.

As we begin the 2022-2023 school year, the teachers are implementing even more researched-based strategies to promote high student achievement through the integration of the 4 C’s (Collaboration, Creativity, Communication and Critical Thinking).  We feel strongly that these initiatives, along with those already in place, provide a strong foundation for exceptional learning.  This along with the support of our families and community makes CFA an amazing place to learn and work.

Parental involvement in our school community is high, and for that, parents are applauded. Research demonstrates that such involvement is the #1 factor in determining student success in school.  Parental involvement can take many forms.  First and foremost, parental involvement means getting children to school every day and getting them here on time.  Being present to monitor student homework, providing a quiet place for homework completion, and being informed about progress and grades are all important to student success.  For those parents who can volunteer in the school, we would encourage you to do so!  Please stop and see us if you would like more information or give us a call (334-448-8780). These opportunities can provide you with a firsthand look at the culture of expectations established at Central Freshman Academy and to contribute to the positive climate of the school.

It is my heartfelt privilege to serve as the Principal. I sincerely believe that a school environment that is collaborative draws on the strength of all stakeholders and fosters a positive school climate that makes a difference in the lives of our students. I look forward to meeting and working with you to continue the tradition of excellence. If we can be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here for you.
