Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome to Ridgecrest Elementary, a school where STARS are made! I can’t wait to hear from the students about their summer adventures. For returning families, I look forward to seeing you all and continuing to serve you, your children and the entire Ridgecrest community. I am thrilled to be writing to you as the principal of this wonderful institution and look forward to working together to make this school year a memorable and successful one.
First and foremost, I want to extend a warm welcome to our new students and their families. We are delighted to have you join our Ridgecrest family, and we are confident that you will quickly feel at home here. To our returning students, welcome back! Your presence and contributions are invaluable, and we are excited to continue our journey together. We are committed to providing the best education for your child.
As we begin this new school year, I want to emphasize the importance of creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all. At Ridgecrest, we believe that every student deserves to feel respected, valued, and supported. Our dedicated staff is committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.. Our instructional focus, along with our character education program are ways that we will build critical skills for your child.
To ensure a successful start, please take note of the following important information:
1. First Day of School: The first day of school for all students is on August 7, 2023. Please arrive on time and be prepared for an exciting day filled with introductions, classroom activities, and getting to know your teachers and classmates.
2. School Supplies: Please refer to the school supply list located on the RIdgecrest Elementary School website. It is essential that students come prepared with the necessary materials to engage fully in their learning.
3. Health and Safety: The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. Although we are no longer required to wear masks, we will continue to follow all recommended guidelines and protocols for Covid-19 to ensure a safe learning environment. Please ensure that your child is up to date with their vaccinations and inform the school of any health concerns or allergies.
4. Communication: Open and effective communication between school and home is vital. We encourage parents and guardians to stay connected with us through our school website, newsletters, and regular parent-teacher conferences. Additionally, please ensure that we have your most up-to-date contact information.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to our dedicated teachers, support staff, and parent volunteers who work tirelessly to create a positive learning environment. Your commitment and collaboration are instrumental in our students' success, and I am grateful for your unwavering support.
I am excited about the possibilities that this school year holds for each and every one of our students. Together, let us embrace the challenges, celebrate the achievements, and create lasting memories. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you throughout the year.
Let’s have a STAR-Studded year!!!
