Mrs. Hudson

My name is Liz Hudson. I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Columbus State University as well as a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University. I have 15 years of teaching experience. I taught kindergarten at LPS for 8 years. I have been a STEM facilitator at LPS for 7 years. I began the Project-Based Learning/STEAM INSPIRE group in 2017. In 2019, I was named STEM Teacher of the Year for Phenix City Schools. I became the SmartLab or STEM facilitator for LPS in 2020. In 2021, the INSPIRE/STEAM program earned our school a CLAS School of Distinction and Banner School title. I became a Nationally STEM certified teacher in 2022 and I aided the school in an effort to become STEM certified with Cognia. I am passionate about inspiring the love of learning in students through STEAM and Project-Based Learning. My husband, Benjamine Hudson, and I have been married nearly 13 years. He teaches geometry at CFA. We have a son, Brytton Hudson (LES 5th grade) and a daughter, Bennett Hudson (LPS Kindergarten).
