Hello and welcome! My name is Javonia Chase-Davis, and I am so ecstatic to be your child’s second grade teacher! This is my 20th year in education and 14th year teaching 2nd grade. I began my professional academic career at the BEST HBCU in the land, Morris Brown College. I received my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from Troy University. I am married to my awesome husband Travis and we have 3 kiddos (Ty 14, Tayden 8, and Teigan 4) at home. Second grade is a time of discovery and excitement, and I am having a marvelous time teaching this age. I strive to create an environment that children love and feel safe. One of accountability, responsibility, and excitement. I believe that every child can learn and should be given every opportunity to succeed. I am committed to reaching every student in my class. Thank you for entrusting me with one of your most precious possessions. I am a believer that building and maintaining strong relationships with my students and their grown-ups works. Together, we can make 2nd grade a memorable and worthwhile experience.
