Hey everyone! My name is Ashley Hightower.  I graduated from Troy University in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and received my Master's in 2012. This is my 16th year teaching 2nd grade at Lakewood. As a child, I attended the Phenix City School System. Many teachers in the system have shaped who I am today. I feel blessed to be able to give back through the school system that has given me so much. I love teaching. It gives me great joy. I believe that all children are teachable and reachable. 

I am married to my very best friend, Rhett. We have a 16 year old- Bryant, and 8 year old twins- Luke and Livi Cate. We also have 2 fur babies, a Shih Tzu named Attie Lu, and a Chocolate Lab named Allie. In my spare time I love to cook, relax with my family and friends, shop, paint, and attend and serve at church.
