Our curriculum is centered around the High Scope educational approach, focusing on critical areas such as math skills and phonological awareness. Your child will learn number identification, simple math computations, letter identification, and sound and letter blending—key components contributing to becoming strong readers and successful learners. Affordable Quality: Our program offers a high-quality, free Pre-K education, with optional after-school care at a small fee, ensuring every child is included due to financial constraints.

Enrollment and Eligibility
The enrollment window is open from January 15 to March 27, with a fair and transparent lottery drawing scheduled for April 5. Is my child eligible?

My child turned 4 years old before September 1st.

I live within the Phenix City School System. (We do not accept transfers for the Pre-K program.)
How do I register?

Visit the Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education website. All applicants will go to Pre-K Pre-Registration to register.

Complete the application carefully and select either Phenix City Early Learning or Creekside Early Learning.

Respond to all emails from the district coordinator, Courtney Thornton, within 3 days. Check your email SPAM folder regularly.

Pre-registration runs from January 15 till March 27. The lottery for both sites will take place a week later.
Important to know:

Parents provide transportation to and from school.

We provide free breakfast and lunch each day.
-
Parents must complete at least 12 volunteer hours during the year.

Students must be potty-trained.

Proof of residency for the Phenix City school district/Alabama (utility bill)
Recommended school supplies for the school year are:
