How do I change my Chromebook/G Suite password?
Posted by:Sign into your My Account page at https://myaccount.google.com/intro. In the "Sign-in & security" section, select Signing in to Google -- Password. Type your current password and then your new password.

Will students be allowed to take the Chromebooks home?
Posted by:Yes, as long as a parent has signed the Responsible Use Policy and paid the usage fee, students will be allowed to use the Chromebooks at home as well as school.

Can my child access the data stored in his/her G Suite account on our home computer?
Posted by:Yes. Students can log into their G Suite accounts on any web-accessible device.

What happens if a student forgets a Chromebook at home?
Posted by:The district does not provide extra devices for students who forget theirs. Classroom sets of textbooks are available for use during the school day.

How will the devices be used in the classroom?
Posted by:While implementation may vary from based on teaching styles and subject matter, students will likely do the following with their devices:

Collaborate on projects with other students.

Share documents with teachers.

Use various apps and websites to explain concepts. For example, students may use a drawing app to represent the water cycles...or parts of a plant.

Look up terms or facts instantly instead of waiting for access to reference materials such as dictionaries or encyclopedias.

Make audio recordings of teacher directions.

Use the Internet to research topics.

How do we keep the screen clean?
Posted by:Clean screens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Never use chemicals such as household cleaner. Closed covers should protect the device from scratches when not in use. Parents may elect to purchase a screen protector and/or a protective case or sleeve for their student's device.

My student has a personal device (iPad, laptop, etc.). Can s/he bring that to school instead?
Posted by:Students should use the school-issued devices so we can manage the apps, licensing, settings and configurations for our network.

Will my child be able to access his/her G Suite account on a smart phone?
Posted by:Yes, it will work, but it is up to the individual user to configure that. The district will not be providing documentation or support for personal devices at this time.

Can parents receive a G Suite Account?
Posted by:Not at this time. You may, however, create a personal Google account at https://accounts.google.com/SignUp

What if we don't have Internet at home?
Posted by:Teachers are aware that not all students have Internet access at home and will provide appropriate accommodations when necessary. And some families may qualify for the FCC's Lifeline benefit that provides discounted Internet packages to low-income consumers.
